About Your Coach
Janet Solie received training at Duke Integrative Medicine Center for Living Campus in Durham, North Carolina and is an Integrative Health Coach. Janet is also a licensed physician assistant in the state of California. She has a bachelor degree in physiology from Colorado State University. She graduated from the Child Health Associate physician assistant program at University of Colorado school of medicine with a masters degree. She resides in Calabasas, California and Granby, Colorado.
Janet spent several years in a private family practice in central California before moving to southern California to serve as a faculty member for a family practice residency program. There she was a mentor, educator, administrator, and health care provider.
She now works exclusively with private clients as an Integrative Health Coach. In addition she is a health writer, blogger and presenter for educational talks, seminars, and community workshops for local hospitals, and wellness corporate programs. Topics of special interest include change talk and health coaching, science of lifestyle change, achieving optimal health, transformation of healthcare, creating personal health recovery plans and mindful eating for weight management..
Janet is a recreational athlete, equine assisted coach, equestrian, student of qigong and mindfulness, mother of two adult daughters, cancer survivor and avid cook of healthy food.
